Until a few months ago I was a woman like any other who would cross your path in the underground or a shopping centre. Except for my tendency to always wear high heeled shoes and a wonderbra, you would probably not have noticed me. Of course there were a few things that always set me apart from the crowd or at least that is what I would like to believe, but we’ll talk about that later, we have plenty of time for that and I am sure that most of you will agree that I was not made like this, but I was born to be the person I’ve become. I know this, and looking back in my life I can see now that I always had it in me. It took a long time to discover my true self, but now that I am on my way, there is nothing to stop me from finding my true potential.

For some women, self realisation comes naturally when they find a man and get married, for others self realisation only comes when they feel the boost of bringing a new life into this world. Yet, other women are career orientated and would sacrifice anything in their lives to achieve their professional ambitions. I cannot say I am any of those women. I am Anath, I was named after a goddess of sexual love, fertility and war and ever since I acknowledge that I have been able to feel the strength of the goddess growing stronger within me. I only had to hear her, like I do now, to feel her strength. I know that.

You can follow me on my trip, a voyage of discovery. A voyage with no point of arrival yet, because I don’t know where my curiosity, my wishes and lust are going to take me.

Only a few months ago I was a “vanilla” girl. Who would have guessed that my life would change the day I tried a latex body suit. I always liked to dress up for parties and for sensual play. But I would have never guessed the power that invaded me just by trying on a sexy body suit in latex. After that day, I instinctively started looking for latex and leather clothes: jackets, trousers, corsets; they all felt made for me.

I believe that everything in this world happens for a reason. Nothing is left to hazard, and that is why one day out of the blue Joanna Lark contacted me and asked me to write a few articles for her. I had never heard of Joanna Lark before, there was no reason for me to know about her. I was a “vanilla” girl and she was a Dominatrix with her own online shop selling fetish clothes and BDSM accessories. Our paths would have never crossed if she hadn’t contacted me after she read one of my articles online. I was flattered and intrigued about Joanna Lark; she was tantalising me, teasing me and laying at my feet an entirely new world for me. A new world that nonetheless felt awfully familiar to me.

Joanna was delighted and surprised that a vanilla girl was keen to write about the fetish scene. I was just surprised that I felt so at ease in this new scenario. Little did I know about the things I was going to witness, the practices I was going to become engaged in, the pleasure and the power that I was going to experience…

I am Anath, a thirty something year old.
